Solid Wood Frame: The Master Toiles Stability

An exceptional canvas deserves an irreproachable structure. Our frames are manufactured in our own workshop:

  • Time-Resistant: A structure engineered to never warp under the tension of the canvas or the weight of the material.

  • Traditional Mounting: Each canvas is carefully hand-stretched by our craftsmen to ensure a perfect grain alignment (straight-of-grain).

  • Sizing (Primer): Double manual sizing with natural rabbit skin glue (ready-to-paint).
  • Structure: Solid wood stretcher bars, Made in France. Includes a bag of beechwood keys/wedges.
  • Craftsmanship: 100% Made in France (EPV Label - Living Heritage Company).
  • Usage: Ideal for oil, acrylic, collage, "Art Brut," and large-scale formats.

Description

Coarse grain stretched canvas

Natural fiber stretched canvas with solid Maritime Pinewood frame.
Coarse grain linen canvas prepared by hand using a traditional gluing knife with 2 layers of hide glue and 2 layers of Master Toiles® universal coating.
The frame was assembled in our workshop with traditional woodworking techniques mortise and tenon, without glue or finger joints.
