Master Toiles: The Excellence of French Manufacturing for Artists

Since 1968, Master Toiles has been crafting professional-grade stretched canvases. Our reputation is built on technical precision and the use of the finest materials.

  • Premium Wood Frames. We exclusively use Landes Pine, air-dried to 18% humidity for perfect stability. Our frames feature traditional joinery (mortise and tenon) and are always supplied with hardwood keys (beech) for optimal tension.

  • Traditional Skin Glue Sizing. We perpetuate the manual "saber" technique. Every linen canvas is sized with two coats of skin glue to protect the fibers and ensure a perfect bond with the final primer.

  • The Master Toiles Primer. Developed in 1989, our unique formula ensures exceptional color rendering and grip. Ready to use, our canvases require no additional gesso, saving you both time and money.

A Family Legacy. Founded by Jacques Beurcq in 1968 and now led by Christine Beurcq, our workshop combines ancestral gestures with modern ecological commitments (PEFC wood, wood-waste heating).
